Besides enjoying years of ballroom dancing with her husband, who recently passed, Welma made a hole in one at the Hamlet, IN golf course. Later she earned her Advanced Open Water SCUBA certification. That led her to ice diving in Lake Maxinkuckee and spending 24 hours in Jules Undersea Lodge and Undersea Research Center in FL. She also did a night dive in Cozumel, and a two tank dive in Maui. Her last adventure was white water rafting on the Urubamba River near Machu Picchu. Caring for her rescue cat, Zeus, feeding numerous species of wild birds on her deck, and taking daily walks in nature gives her a contented life for contemplating the writing and illustrating of her future books. She has one at the publisher’s now titled, “ The Adventures of Zeus the Dumped Cat”. She will be ninety by the time it is published.
